Company Profile
The company was
founded in 1977 as a continuation of the experience gained in the field of irrigation
through the cultivation of flowers. The name was adopted from the sister company Elysee
Trading Ltd.
The main field was the transport of irrigation
equipment and accessories but soon the manufacture of the first simple parts using
injection molding technology started in 1980. The company has always been from the start a
family venture.
The fast growth at the initial site in
Psimolophou led to the construction of the present site in Ergates Industrial Area in
1988. The company, apart from a considerable growth in the local market, had already
started exporting goods, mainly to the neighboring Arab countries. The company had then a
workforce of 25 people.
In 1991, the plant was expanded to house the extrusion
section of the company, which had just been born. The first piece of extrusion machinery
arrived in 1993. Employee numbers increased to 40.
In 1996, another company joins the group, Elysee Irrigation
(PVC pipes) Ltd, in the field of PVC pipes. The machinery and personnel share the
same premises with Elysee Irrigation Ltd. Present employee numbers range to 60 people
including engineers, technicians, unskilled labour, clerks, drivers and office personnel.
A large fleet of 22 vehicles is also part of the company. Current client numbers have
topped 500 locally (in Cyprus) and 50 worldwide. The main targets of the company are
everyday contact with customers and a fast service through an extensive network on the
island of Cyprus.
